Ford’s 2025 Bronco Sport delivers two potent powertrains, flexible cargo space and a cluster of new safety technology.
All models come equipped with a class-leading 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 system, a Bronco Raptor-inspired 12.3-inch digital instrument display and Co-Pilot360 Assist+.
“Bronco Sport customers love the outdoors and go off-roading 3.5 times as often as the owners of competitive vehicles,” says Matt Simpson, general manager of Ford. “They want to know they can overcome obstacles that come their way, which drove our designers and engineers to push Bronco Sport to a new level of capability and performance, ”
The compact crossover SUV is available in five distinct trims including Bend, Heritage, Free Wheeling, Outer Banks and Badlands.
A Sasquatch package debuts on Bronco Sport Badlands and Outer Bank models. The bundle features an advanced 4X4 system with locking rear differential, a front brush guard, 29-inch all-terrain tires, reinforced steel skid plates and four off-road recovery points. This includes two frontal ready tow hooks and a pair of cast D-rings on the rear bumper.
The exclusive package also adds an 8.8-inch ground clearance, 8.3-inch front suspension travel, enhanced rear shocks for stability on rough terrain and deployable fender-tie downs capable of securing 150 pounds of roof-mounted gear.
“There’s a Sasquatch for every Bronco Sport Customer who needs that next level of capability and confidence,” Simpson says.
An optional Black Diamond package is available for Big Bend models. This offers an alternative for customers who do not need the full features of the Sasquatch package. It includes four recovery points, 2,200 pounds of towing capacity and additional steel underbody protection.
Under the Hood
The entry-level 2025 Bronco Sport comes with a 1.5-liter engine paired with an eight-speed transmission. This turbocharged powertrain delivers 180 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque.
Engineers have equipped the Badlands trim with a 2.0-liter powertrain that delivers 238 hp and 277 Ib-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and an oil cooler for optimal performance.
An advanced 4X4 system featuring a twin-clutch rear unit and torque vectoring for enhanced traction is exclusive to the off-road Badlands model.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport comes standard with G.O.A.T modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain advanced) engineered to maximize the SUV’s performance in diverse driving conditions. Drivers can select from multiple modes using a rotary dial that seamlessly adjusts throttle response, transmission behavior, traction control and the 4X4 system to any terrain.
The Badlands Bronco Sport also features extra modes for off-road enthusiasts. These include Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl settings designed to handle deep mud and rocky obstacles with ease.
An available Rally mode provides enhanced throttle and steering response that is ideal for navigating sandy trails and dunes at higher speeds. A Trail One Pedal Drive lets drivers control both acceleration and braking using the accelerator pedal. The feature eliminates left-foot braking and prevents rollbacks on steep inclines.
Comfort and Convenience
The standard amenities of the 2025 Bronco Sport include a 13.2-inch center touchscreen connected to Ford’s Sync 4 infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a Wi-Fi hotspot and automatic climate control.
Additional in-cabin features available on higher trims are automatic dual-zone climate control, a 6.5-inch digital instrument panel, ambient lighting and 180-degree front camera system.
The base configuration of the Bronco Sport SUV offers 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space. This expands to 65.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. An adjustable floor provides extra vertical space for summer camping gear, ice coolers and picnic baskets without everything tipping over.
A new Bring Your Own Device accessory located behind the center infotainment screen offers a platform for powering and mounting devices. The tray includes two integrated USB ports and multiple points for attaching smartphones, dash cams, radios or GPS units.
